The house stands in Bibinje, a quiet coastal village just south of Zadar. The sea lies right in front of the house, with views of the islands. The drive to Zadar's old town takes about 15 minutes.

A village that grew naturally on the coast.
Bibinje is a coastal village with a promenade, a few konobas and small shops. Croatians spend their own holidays here. Fishing boats sit in the harbour and in the evening you hear dinner plates clatter in the gardens.
You live quietly and right on the water. The bakery and supermarket are still in the village, and Zadar is just around the corner.

Zadar's old town, 15 minutes away.
Zadar's 3,000-year-old old town sits on a peninsula and is best explored on foot. By car you are there in a quarter of an hour.
Sea Organ & Greeting to the Sun
The waves play the organ on the waterfront. In the evening the light installation Greeting to the Sun glows next to it.
Roman Forum & old town lanes
Roman ruins, the round church of St. Donatus and lanes full of cafés. Everything sits close together.
The sunset
Alfred Hitchcock called Zadar's sunset the most beautiful in the world. From the house's jetty you watch it every evening without the crowds.

Many places in Dalmatia can be reached from here on a day trip.
Kornati (National Park)
89 stark islands in the open sea. You get there by boat tour from Zadar or Biograd, or with your own boat straight from the jetty. The garden looks out exactly in their direction.
Krka National Park
Waterfalls and cascades near Skradin, about 1 hour by car.
Plitvice Lakes
Croatia's most famous national park, about 1.5 hours by car. An early start pays off.
Paklenica & Velebit
Canyons and hikes in the karst mountains, about 45 minutes.
Nin
A royal town with salt pans and a shallow sandy beach, about 25 minutes. Great with small children.
Ugljan & Pašman islands
By ferry from Zadar or by boat. Quiet coves and good cycling paths.
Getting here
By car
Take the A1 to exit Zadar 2 (Zadar East), then another 15 minutes to Bibinje. From Munich it takes around 8 hours, from Vienna about 6.5 hours. There are 2 parking spaces at the house.
By plane
Zadar Airport is 8 km away and has seasonal direct flights from many European cities. Rental cars are available at the airport. We are happy to help arrange a transfer.
Shopping & dining
The supermarket and bakery are in the village. The nearest konobas sit about 1.5 km away along the water, for example Domestico Di Jaz or Ribar Jere. Ante gladly shares his favourites.
